3M™ Mini Stack™ Connector Series:
3M™ Mini Stack™ Connector Series allows for faster wiring time and reduced board footprint. The series includes 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Wiremount Socket 3S5 Series, 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Boardmount Header 3S6 Series and the 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Hand Tool.
It features insulation displacement contact (IDC) termination which dramatically reduces the wiring time required for traditional crimping methods, where wires must be individually stripped, inserted into contacts, crimped and inserted into housings. Instead, installers simply place 2 to 4 wires and sockets into the 3M Mini Stack hand tool and terminate them simultaneously with a simple squeeze. Terminated wires then insert all the way into the housing in one motion.
