Jauch Quartz GmbH has launched a new test and certification centre for cells and batteries, expanding its existing battery lab. This facility offers comprehensive support for battery testing and certification, addressing the latest European Battery Regulation requirements and global product approval standards.

Key Tests for Lithium Batteries: Certifications are crucial for companies using batteries in their products. Without proper tests and approvals, manufacturers risk transport bans, fines, market bans, and damage claims. Essential tests include the UN38.3 transport test and the IEC62133 safety standard for rechargeable lithium batteries. Jauch now conducts these tests in-house at its headquarters in Villingen-Schwenningen, along with customer-specific tests, providing significant benefits.

Customer Support Throughout Development: Sönke Zacher, Head of Project Management at Jauch, emphasizes their goal to support customers from the initial idea to series production. The new facility allows Jauch to test and certify cells and batteries, either directly or in cooperation with accredited labs, meeting standards like UL, PSE, KC, and CCC. This service simplifies approval processes, saving customers time and money while providing planning security.
Industry Expertise: Jauch has extensive experience in various sectors, including medical technology, automotive, and automation. Their team of technicians, engineers, chemists, and a lawyer offers tailored solutions, covering the entire development cycle from housing selection to complex battery management systems.

Simplifying Certification: Many customers face challenges in certifying their products due to a lack of expertise. Jauch helps overcome these obstacles, offering safety and reliability. The new centre strengthens Jauch’s position as a leading battery technology provider and enhances the region’s innovation. Customers worldwide will benefit from the improved infrastructure and comprehensive services.
