Gaining a place on the JOSCAR register is no easy feat! The organisation holds a central list of approved suppliers used by several major defence, aerospace and security organisations including the MOD, BAE Systems, Leonardo, Rolls Royce, Boeing and others and membership is strictly by invitation only.
Securing final accreditation requires successful completion of a rigorous audit process which determines if a supplier is “fit for business”, with somewhat of a guarantee that the member company has the ability to meet the production challenges for such critical industries within the defence, aerospace, surveillance and space sectors. JOSCAR is a collaborative tool used by the primes to define and streamline the supplier qualification process, where audits are monitored on their behalf to ensure members have the necessary processes, systems and controls in place.
